Qualified Pumping System Assessment Tool (PSAT) Specialists have successfully completed classroom and practical training, passed a rigorous exam, and demonstrated their ability to use the PSAT software tool. Specialists apply this tool to help their plant or industrial customers identify ways to improve pumping system efficiency. The U.S. DOE recognizes these industry professionals as Qualified Specialists, but does not specifically endorse any individual or company.

BestPractices is a program area within the Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) that supports ITP's mission to improve the energy intensity of the U.S. industrial sector through a coordinated program of research and development, validation, and dissemination of energy-efficient technologies and practices.
